JULY NEWSLETTER FROM HIPPY HARE HQ
A big hello from us! Here is our July newsletter from Hippy Hare HQ! We hope that you are all remaining well and safe as we all begin the long ascent back to normal life and plastic free products.
Life for us is slowly getting back to normal, with the first few outdoor markets going ahead. The first market was in Bicester back in June and we had our second one in Bicester on the 3rd of July. It has been so lovely to see our regular customers again and also meeting new people. We love the markets for this reason and we’d like to thank those of you that popped by to say hello! We will see you again Bicester, with a good selection of our plastic free products, on the 7th August. Don’t forget we do the market monthly, on the first Friday of the month. https://www.cherwell.gov.uk/info/3/leisure-and-culture/470/markets/3

- 26th JULY – COVENT GARDEN ECO MARKET – WARWICK STREET, ROYAL LEAMINGTON SPA – 10am-4pm
FUN IN THE KITCHEN!
MAKING NATURAL DISH SOAP FROM SCRATCH – I cannot begin to tell you how much fun this was. I’ve always liked chemistry as a subject, it would be safe to say it intrigues me. I am often trying out different homemade natural recipes to make useful plastic free products that I can use around our home. The latest was making dish soap from soap nuts. Click the link to find out how I got on! https://www.thehippyharecompany.co.uk/news/
NETTLE OIL – Every year I make a batch of homemade nettle oil. Nettle oil can be used for many things, in fact nettles are a wonderful plant, if you can forgive their sting! You can cook them and use as a vegetable, make soup, tea, massage oil, plant food and insect spray for your greenhouse. I make and use nettle oil as a base massage oil, to which I add essential oils that are known to help with pain and inflammation. It’s fun to make, useful and definitely worth reading up on! https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/325244
We are so relieved that all of our suppliers have also made it through to the other side of Covid 19. It’s certainly been a testing time for everyone, in particular small businesses. Whilst we will be continuing business with all of our regular suppliers, we are looking at other wholesale suppliers, so that we can bring to you some new plastic free products in the months ahead.
So, that’s it from us for this month. We hope you continue to stay safe and happy until we see you again!
